Why is basalt suitable for plants?

Our Micromite is a basaltic volcanic rock brought up from the lower crust by lava. It contains more nutrients than the upper crust rock and has been weathered by heat, groundwater, and underground activities, making it a great source of plant nutrients. Similar to how the fertile lowland soil is formed by the weathering of volcanic rocks and the accumulation of minerals from the mountains, which is a process that takes hundreds of thousands of years. We grind our basalt rock down to a size of 74 microns so that plants can absorb the minerals immediately.

Problems from using chemicals

Due to the modern agricultural industry, chemicals are often sprayed to eliminate pests, and chemical fertilizers have been used continuously for a long time, which harms the soil's properties and destroys the ecosystem of microorganisms in the soil. In addition to a reduction in the yields of the produced, the crop from such degraded soil can accumulate toxins, affecting the health of consumers and farmers, and causes illness. In the case of acute poisoning, symptoms include nausea and diarrhea. If there is chronic poisoning, it may increase the risk of cancer.

From the above problems

Our company has recognized farmers having problems with degraded soil for agricultural cultivation, which requires using various soil amendments and enriching mixtures to improve soil to acceptable conditions for better yields and more environmentally friendly. Therefore, we produce our Micromite from volcanic basalt rock, which is rich in minerals and has undergone natural weathering processes. It is suitable as a plant nutrients supplement and also as a soil amendment, improving soil friability and promoting a healthier root system.

Benefits of Micromite

Water storage Helps retain moisture and fertilizer solution in the soil.
Water storage Make the soil loose and friable.
Enhances nutrient absorption Helps increase the efficiency of mineral absorption
Increase disease resistance Plants treated with Micromite will be stronger and more resistant to disease.
